Another project on the house!

Our most recent project has been in our bedroom. Scott painted the red wall one day while I was at work. I bought a cool vynyl saying that sticks onto the wall. It says "Love conquers all" over our bed. I think it looks pretty cool. Then we printed out lots of special pictures, some wedding pics and pics of our freinds and family, all in sepia tone. There are lots of special memories on our wall of our wedding, camping, Grand Canyon, times with family and having them all in that same tone looks really neat. We are pretty happy with the result-what do you think?

Projects on the House

For the last two weekends I have been working with the girls on sewing curtains. Elly went with Amy and I to JoAnns to find fabric and patterns. Elly helped me find the right fabric and the right ammounts to make these curtains. Then the last two weekends Brittany and Amy have come over and we have sewn into all hours of the night making curtains for my house and for Brittanys house. I am really pleased with the way my curtain turned out!

Scott and I also have been wanting to paint and I have been pushing for certain colors in
the house and we finally went out and bought some paint and started on our first painting project. We painted the dinning room wall chocolate brown. I am really happy with the way it turned out. Scott was really wary of the color at first but when he saw the finished product he was really happy about it too! Next project: red wall in the bedroom!

Sick Puppy

For the last few days we have been having problems with our dog being sick. He has had diahrea for several days and Scott finally took him to the vet today. Norman got a shot and went home with a few antibodics ($95 later....). Lucky us, we need to collect a stool sample and bring it back to them to run tests and find out what is going on with our poor little puppy!

Wicked!

Scott and I went to the Pantages Theater in LA and saw Wicked last night. I have wanted to go see Wicked for a ling time and we looked for tickets this summer but I could not find a ticket cheaper than $150. When I heard that Wicked was leaving I got really sad that we had not had the chance to see the show. So on a whim, I checked for tickets and found tickets for $60! So I bought them on Wednesday and we went Sunday night. We went to Trader Joes and bought yummy snacks to have in the car on the way there (we were running out of time and we were not hungry for a full meal-just pita chips and hummus :) We REALLY enjoyed the show. Galinda was hilarious! (Its GAlinda with a GA...) It was such a fun night and Scott really enjoyed his first professional show.

Hi, my name is Michelle and I am a Twilightaholic.

Yes, I have been sucked in and have officially joined the Twilight cult. I have seen the displays of the books at Borders forever, and when all of my students carry them around and obssesivly read them, I got curious. I bought Twilight last tuesday night and finished it by Friday night. I bought New Moon on saturday and have been reading it since. I watched all of the trailers online for the movie. I dont even want to write much more becasue I am wasting precious reading time on writing this post.......

We are moved in!

So we did officially move in on the 19th of September, but we still dont have internet, so it has taken me a while to update. We had tons of help from friends and students on friday night and got vast moajority of our stuff moved then. We spent a week working really hard on getting the front part of the house ready since we had a baby shower for Elly on saturday. The kitchen took days to get ready, replacing the dishwasher and garbage disposal took a lot more time than we thought it would. Help from Dad, many hours and 7 drips to Home Depot solved that problem.

Scott and I are loving our new house, but our "to do" list keep growing instead of shrinking. Even though we are doing millions of projects, we cant get past how awesome God is that we would be blessed with this house. We have discussed that we never thought in our wildest dreams that our first house would be this big or this nice. Its amazing. We have met lots of our neighboors and they are so nice, we are loving our neighborhood. Through all of this hard work I realize even more how awesome my husband is. He is incredibly handy and will take on any project. He works hard all day and then comes home and works hard on the house.

This whole expirences makes me praise God for my awesome husband, family and friends. :)
